Project SEE
Since 1970, the Concord School District has made environmental education part of its curriculum. The Science and Environmental Education program is a direct complement to the district's elementary science curriculum, teaching not only science skills but life skills, social responsibility, and even the ABCs. Elementary grade-level programming takes place in classrooms, schoolyards and throughout the community. A resource library and Science Center at 16 Rumford Street and the White Farm outdoor laboratory and learning center on Clinton Street are special facilities operated by the environmental education program.

The program's goal is to provide Concord students with concrete "hands-on" science and environmental education learning experiences and helping to develop scientific awareness and problem-solving skills. SEE lessons contribute to the wisdom and understanding students need to be whole-earth stewards, intelligent consumers and involved citizens when they graduate from the Concord School District.

Weeks Ending 6/11/10 and 6/18/10
As we approach the end of the school year, Project SEE is happy to welcome fourth grade classes out to White Farm. For their Herbs study students create sunprints using herbs, work in the garden, and investigate one herb more closely.

 In-Class Lessons
Once a month Project SEE goes out to the first through fifth grade classrooms to deliver 45-minute science lessons. These lessons are known as the Project SEE Collaborative lessons. This folder contains the most current lesson plans by grade level. Please note: the lesson plans are subject to change as our lessons continue to grow.
